Presidents Message: Dennis Davis

I hope everyone is making plans to attend our annual stockholders meeting. This is good time to air issues for the up and coming golf season that could help KLCC. All ideas and concerns are welcomed as it may open a dialogue that turns into a solution that benefits all. When many work as one there is no end as to what maybe achieved. Five spots need to be filled for the Board of Directors, please sign-up and volunteer our club needs you.

Finance Committee: Tony Ferens:

A review of the final financial results are being conducted and are expected to be substantially completed by the board meeting.” Preliminary results are that total revenue was just slightly below 2010 levels and total costs were below 2010 levels”. The net effect is an improvement in profitability for 2011 vs. 2010.

We are hoping for a very successful and busy 2012 for the golf course

NEW REVISED BOND LETTER

Bond Sale

Kerr Lake Country Club is pleased to be able to offer a continuation of the sale of bonds to investors. The bonds are being offered at par. The board has approved the sale for up to thirty five $1,000.00 bonds. These will be sold on a first come basis.

Please see the full terms and conditions of the bonds located at the offices of Kerr Lake Country Club.   

A brief summary of the key elements of the bond issue are as follows

• The bonds will be issued for the principal sum of $1,000.00 each.
• Interest will be paid to the bond purchaser at a rate of 7.0% on the principal sum of $1,000.00 on or about July 1^st of each calendar year through July 1^st 2014.  Interest will be pro-rated for partial year.
• Interest will be paid to the bond purchaser at a rate of 8.0% on the principal sum of $1,000.00 on or about July 1^st of each calendar year from 2015 through bond redemption date.  Interest will be pro-rated for partial year.

Fall Golf Rates: Monday thru Thursday $22.00 for 18 holes.

Friday $27.00.  Saturday and Sunday $32.00

Pool and Tennis- Tim Bridges 

A Reminder: The basketball courts are open and the key to the court is in the pro shop. Everyone using the court will need to sign in before entering the area. there is to be “no skateboards, bikes, roller blades, or anything of that sort on the tennis/basketball courts...there will also be no hanging on the rims, nets  and absolutely “DO NOT MESS WITH THE TENNIS NET” BOD…

Men's Club – Jeff Watson  

The Men’s Club meeting will be Friday February 10^th. Tim Bridges will be cooking Spaghetti and we encourage every male that is interested to join us!! We get started around 6:30pm!

Ladies Club-Betty Jones

The Ladies Club meeting will be held at 7:00 pm February 13. All KLCC Lady members are invited to join us. Plans are being made for a “Spaghetti Supper” that will be held on March 17, 2012. We will need help selling tickets and serving dinner. More info to follow on where to pick up tickets to sell etc.

Note: Due to questions being asked about the following issue: The building committee wishes all members to know that the money spent on the work done in the upper pro shop is being paid for by donations as well as the actual work being done is on a volunteer basis.

House Committee- Ron Rubin:

Hope everyone's been taking advantage of this beautiful weather we've been having! Hope it continues that way through February!! Want to remind everyone that we have a suggestion box in the Pro Shop. New ideas and suggestions are needed...the suggestions stay anonymous so please help us out! The February stockholder’s meeting is important. Possible changes are being made to the by-laws, rules, and regulations and your input is needed! Try to be there.

Membership Committee: John Foran:

The KLCC Board of Directors has voted to pay any Member who signs up a new member or any past member who has been out of the club for at least one year. The BOD will pay a 10% finders fee based upon the new member’s yearly dues. These credits will be given to the finding members every quarter!!

A Reminder: With the winter and cold weather coming please remember to check with the pro shop before playing due to “frost delay” requirements.

The grounds committee would like to thank John Thompson for getting all of the plumbing problems we had at the club fixed!!!
